Risk Disclosure

Read this before you rely on anything shown in Tradescan.in. It explains the risks of the markets the platform analyses, and the limits of the analytics themselves.

Last updated 16 September 2026

1. Market risk

Investments in securities markets are subject to market risk. Read all related documents carefully before investing.

Prices move for reasons no indicator anticipates: earnings, policy, global flows, liquidity shocks and sentiment. You can lose money on a position that every score on this platform rated favourably.

2. Derivatives and options risk

Trading in derivatives, including options, involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor.

  • A bought option can expire worthless. You can lose the entire premium and all associated charges.
  • Options lose value with time even when the underlying does not move against you.
  • Written or short option positions carry losses that can substantially exceed the premium received and the margin you posted.
  • Implied volatility can collapse after an event, so a directionally correct view can still lose money.
  • Liquidity in individual strikes can be thin. Wide bid-ask spreads and slippage can make a displayed premium unobtainable.
  • Leverage magnifies both gains and losses, and margin calls can force closure.

3. What Tradescan.in outputs actually are

The Trade Factor, sector strength, breadth, index contribution and the Option Trade Factor are arithmetic descriptions of recent price, volume and volatility behaviour. They are computed from historical and current data using fixed formulas.

A high Option Trade Factor score means the mathematical conditions the model measures are currently aligned. It is a setup-strength measurement, not a probability of profit, not a forecast, and not a recommendation to trade.

"AI Trade Ideas" are candidates surfaced by these formulas. The word "idea" is literal: it is a starting point for your own analysis, not a call to act.

4. Estimated option premiums and strikes

When a live option chain is unavailable, the strike, premium, lot size and capital figures shown are model estimates derived from the underlying price and its volatility. They will differ, sometimes materially, from live exchange quotes.

Entry, target and stop-loss levels shown on any setup are arithmetic derivations from volatility, not price predictions. Always verify the live chain with your broker before acting on anything.

5. Simulated data

When no broker feed is connected, Tradescan.in runs on a built-in simulation feed.

In that state every price, index level, breadth reading, score, alert and option premium in the terminal is synthetic — generated by the software, not received from any exchange or broker. A banner reading "SIMULATED DATA — NOT LIVE MARKET DATA" appears on every screen while the simulation is active, and individual panels carry a "Simulated" marker. Never treat those numbers as market prices and never trade on them.

6. Data limitations

  • Live data reaches the platform through a third-party broker API, not through a direct exchange feed. Accuracy, completeness, timeliness and rate limits are outside our control.
  • Data can be delayed, stale, gapped, revised or unavailable, including during the session.
  • Corporate actions, splits and bonus adjustments may not be reflected immediately.
  • Derived indicators inherit every defect of the underlying data.
  • Software has bugs. A score, chart or table can be wrong.

7. No performance claims

Past performance of any indicator, score, signal or setup does not indicate or guarantee future results. Tradescan.in makes no claim about accuracy rates, win rates, returns or profitability, and any figure produced by the Trade Factor Lab validation tool is a historical, hypothetical calculation on past data — not an achieved result, and not net of brokerage, taxes, impact cost or slippage.

8. Your responsibility

Every trading and investment decision you take is your own. You should independently evaluate any idea, consider your own financial position, objectives and risk tolerance, and where appropriate consult a SEBI-registered investment adviser before acting.

Do not trade with money you cannot afford to lose. Questions about this disclosure can be sent to support@tradescan.in.
