Disclaimer, Product & AI Disclosure

A precise description of what Tradescan.in computes, how it computes it, where artificial intelligence is involved, and what none of it means.

1. General disclaimer

Nothing on Tradescan.in is investment, financial, legal, accounting or tax advice, a research report, a recommendation, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security.

All content is provided for information and study on an "as is" basis, without warranty of accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for any purpose. We do not undertake to update any figure once displayed.

2. Product disclosure — what each output is

  • Trade Factor (T Factor) — the day's return divided by the stock's own average true range, so a move is measured against that stock's normal volatility rather than in absolute percentage terms. It describes how unusual today's move is. It says nothing about tomorrow.
  • Option Trade Factor — a 0–100 composite of six measured components (Trade Factor, momentum, volume versus its 20-day average, trend structure, open-interest context and relative strength against the index and sector), less a risk penalty for conditions such as elevated implied volatility, wide spreads, thin liquidity or extended moves. It is a setup-strength measurement, not a probability of profit. A score of 90 does not mean a 90% chance of anything.
  • Sector strength, breadth, index contribution — arithmetic aggregations of constituent prices and volumes.
  • AI Trade Ideas — up to five candidates that pass fixed numeric filters, with an option structure derived from the current price and volatility. Selection is deterministic: identical inputs always produce identical ideas. No human selects, reviews or endorses them.
  • Trade Factor Lab — a historical validation tool. Any figure it produces is a hypothetical calculation over past data, gross of brokerage, taxes, impact cost and slippage, and is not an achieved or achievable result.

3. AI disclosure — exactly where AI is used

Artificial intelligence is used in one place only: to write the short natural-language explanation and the risk caveat that appear alongside a trade idea, and to label its setup strength band in words.

AI does not choose the stocks, the direction, the strike, the expiry, the premium, the entry, the target, the stop-loss or any score.

All of those are produced by fixed formulas before the model is called. If the AI service is unavailable, the same numbers are shown with a rule-based sentence instead. AI-generated text is labelled as such wherever it appears.

Controls we apply. The model's output is checked before you see it: text containing numeric figures, percentages, return or accuracy claims, guarantees, or words such as "buy", "sell", "profit", "assured" or "risk-free" is rejected and replaced with the rule-based sentence. The model's setup-strength wording is forced to match the computed score, so it cannot inflate a weak setup. The exact prompt inputs and the returned text are recorded so any commentary shown to a user can be reproduced.

Limitations. Language models can still produce plausible-sounding text that is wrong. Read the numbers, not the prose, and verify everything with your broker.

4. What we send to the AI model

Only market-derived figures for the shortlisted stocks: symbol, company name, sector, option side, setup score, day change, Trade Factor, average true range percentage, relative volume and the signal label.

No personal data is sent. Not your name, email, user ID, IP address, watchlist, alerts, broker token, broker account, holdings, positions or payment information.

Retention and any training use of prompts by the AI vendor are governed by that vendor's terms and are outside our control.

5. Data disclosure

Live market data reaches the platform through a third-party broker API, not a direct exchange feed. When no feed is connected the platform runs on a built-in simulation and labels every screen accordingly. See the Risk Disclosure for the full list of data limitations.

6. Third-party marks

Upstox, NSE, NIFTY, Zoho and all other names and marks are the property of their respective owners, used only to describe compatibility. Tradescan.in is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by any of them.
